Additional Directions for
400 Bedford St. - South Entrance*

400 Bedford St. is also known as the Starks Mill and the 'Morgan Self-Storage Building'.

Traveling down Bedford St., 400 Bedford St. will be the 3rd mill building on your left. Plenty of free parking is available directly in front of the building itself (though not on Bedford St. itself), and along the right side of the large driveway that separates the the 2nd and 3rd Mill buildings. This driveway is also where our marked front door sits - the South Entrance. Here you'll see the 'Mill Girl' statue standing atop the staircase that leads down to Commercial Street, while our sign sits above her head, our front door at her back.

Mary Cole @ MAS

Acupuncture treatments can be like a swift kick in the pants for some.

While treating hundreds of people for headaches, back pain and anxiety over the past several months here at MAS, I'm starting to hear back from patients at follow-up visits that, "things have really changed".

Folks are reporting they have decided to get a new job, decided to move, or are applying to school. Apparently the acupuncture points used for back pain have the side-effect of causing folks to seek out a job application!

It hasn't been easy to tell if this phenomena if because of a certain acupuncture point, particular technique or just due to the way our front desk general, Nancy can usher someone into the treatment rooms, but I'm working on understanding this development more clearly.

One thing is for sure, we're seeing these changes happen more often, especially with people new to acupuncture. It's as if getting treated was the first step toward a new world-view.

Step One: Get acupuncture. Step Two: Change the world!

It is incredibly satisfying to see when patients realize they feel better, they can simply get on to what comes next. This realization that you can feel better after a treatment - even a 20% shift down a pain scale, for instance - is like being stranded on a desert island, but seeing a ship along the horizon. It is there, the opportunity to change the situation is there, with the right circumstance. Whether it be a couple of needles or a flare gun, using them can help start great positive change.
